LDM Global has the resources to go anywhere in the world to extract data for eDiscovery matters. Our team has extensive international experience, and often has worked in challenging environments across five continents. Our processes are defensible and we ensure clients can demonstrate a “reasonable” search has been conducted of pertinent data sources, to the satisfaction of the courts.

Our services include Data Collection, Digital surveillance, Email investigation, Encryption breaking, Network vulnerability & testing, Password recovery, Technical surveillance counter measures and Triage forensics.

Key Challenges

Millions of people around the world use PCs, mobile phones, instant messaging, internet phones and video. All of these data sources are considered digital evidence and as such, if needed, and collected according to ACPO guidelines, can be used as evidence in a court of law or any other environment as required.

Collection methods and decisions made at the beginning of the DFIR (Digital Forensic Incident Response) process directly affect the ultimate outcome of a case. Due to advances in technology the cost and difficulty of accessing electronically stored information (ESI) is no longer the barrier it once was. However, cutting edge technology is not enough to guarantee a defensible collection has been carried out. Strict procedures exist with regards to how data should be collected to ensure that problems do not occur further down the eDiscovery lifecycle.

At LDM Global we combine the latest technology with professional experience and know how to collect data with minimum impact on the client. Contamination of digital evidence (spoliation) during collection can cause critical data to be destroyed or altered before copying, and can be viewed as gross negligence by courts. Our strict adherence to the ACPO guidelines and experienced professional staff minimize spoliation risks.
