LDM Global becomes a member of the Law Society

Membership of Legal staff to Law Society offers clients more legal expertise

London, UK, and New York, NY, 7 July 2010 - LDM Global today announced that it has recently become an organisation registered with the Law Society.  Two of its staff are members and, as solicitors in England and Wales, are also regulated by the Solicitors Regulatory Authority; Don MacFarlane, Head of Global Operations & General Counsel and Gregory Campbell, Professional Services Coordinator & Counsel.

The Law Society was formed in 1823 and represents solicitors in England and Wales, negotiating with and lobbying the profession's regulators, government and others, together with offering training and advice.  The Solicitors Regulation Authority is the profession’s regulator, ensuring that more than 100,000 solicitors in England and Wales meet high standards with the aim of protecting the public.

According to Dr. MacFarlane, “Registering with the Law Society was natural for LDM Global as a large number of our professional clients are also members; this gives our clients from diverse jurisdictions confidence that they are being looked after by fellow professionals.”  Mr. Campbell added “Registration affords LDM Global a platform to inform the profession on eDisclosure trends, practices and concerns; we will also be further enhancing LDM Global’s webinars and other courses with CPD accreditation.”
