This Privacy Notice sets out how LDM Global processes data, whether on individuals (including personal data of individuals who are clients, intermediaries or other third parties LDM Global interacts with, or any individual who is connected to those parties) or otherwise. Where the data held is of individuals, this document also sets out the rights of those individuals in respect of that personal data.

LDM Global is a premier information management, litigation support and professional services solutions provider specializing in data recovery, computer forensics, large scale electronic and paper-based disclosure services and international projects.

LDM Global strives to comply with applicable laws and regulations related to personal data protection in countries where it operates. This Policy sets forth the basic principles by which LDM Global processes the personal data of consumers, customers, suppliers, business partners, employees and other individuals, and indicates the responsibilities of its business departments and employees while processing personal data.

This Policy applies to LDM Global and its directly or indirectly controlled, wholly-owned subsidiaries conducting business within the European Economic Area (EEA) or processing the personal data of data subjects within EEA or outside.

For any client relationship, the relevant LDM Group entity with the primary relationship will be confirmed in the Master Service Agreement or Statement of Work.


The following definitions of terms used in this document are drawn from Article 4 of the European Union’s General Data Protection Regulation:

Personal Data: Any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“Data Subject“) who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person.

Sensitive Personal Data: Personal data which are, by their nature, particularly sensitive in relation to fundamental rights and freedoms merit specific protection as the context of their processing could create significant risks to the fundamental rights and freedoms. Those personal data include personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, or trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, data concerning health or data concerning a natural person’s sex life or sexual orientation.

Data Controller: The natural or legal person, public authority, agency or any other body, which alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data.

Data Processor: A natural or legal person, public authority, agency or any other body which processes personal data on behalf of a Data Controller.


LDM Global processes data in order to provide litigation support and professional services solutions. Our Personal Data Protection Policy governs the use and storage of your data.

The type of data we may collect, and process includes:

  • Contact details (including names, postal addresses, email addresses and telephone numbers);
  • Information required for LDM Global to meet legal and regulatory requirements;
  • Information provided during the course of the provision of litigation support and professional services solutions (for example, information on professional relationships and background);
  • Financial information, such as payment related information;
  • Any other information you may provide to us.

LDM Global may ask you to provide certain information when you use the website. The information collected may include:

  • name and job titles
  • postal/email address
  • other information relevant to customer surveys and/or offers

LDM Global may use the contact information to manage our client, intermediary and other business relationships. The legitimate interest of LDM Global is to seek and to ensure its business is conducted efficiently and with a view of enhancing client services.

LDM Global may use this information to provide access to our application portal or to provide secure remote access. The legitimate interest of LDM Global and the user of the Portal for the communication and storage of relevant material (such use being subject to the terms and conditions of the relevant Portal) In instances where any user of any Portal has been provided with this Privacy Notice and provides personal data thereafter, the processing may be carried out on the basis of consent. LDM Global may:

Like most websites today, our web servers keep log files that record data each time a device accesses those servers. The log files contain data about the nature of each access, including originating IP addresses, internet service providers, the files viewed on our site (e.g., HTML pages, graphics, etc.), operating system versions, device type and timestamps.


As a global organization, the data we collect may be transferred internationally throughout LDM Global worldwide organization. We will not sell any individual’s information and will share it only with our employees and trusted partners.

Information obtained from or relating to clients or former clients is further subject to the terms of any privacy notice to the client, any engagement letter(s) with the client, and applicable laws and professional standards.

In certain instances, being the Data Processor, personal data processed may include “Special Category Data” (which includes information on a person’s race, ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership, genetic or biometric data processed for the purpose of uniquely identifying a natural person, health data, data on a person’s sex life or sexual orientation or data relating to a person’s criminal record or alleged criminal activity). In such instances processing has to be necessary for compliance with a legal obligation or the purposes of legal proceedings or legal advice as specified by the Data Controller.

The provision of data to one entity of LDM Global may result in that data being accessible by all other members of LDM Global. Reasonable endeavours are made to ensure that data is only accessible by those with a need for access to fulfil the purposes set out above. Requests for access to be restricted in any particular manner should be made to  and will be considered and, where possible with reference to legal and regulatory obligations, actioned. The following is a list of potential recipients of data (in each case including respective employees, directors and officers):

  • Other members of LDM Global;
  • Other providers of services where disclosure to that provider of services is considered necessary to fulfil the purposes set out above;
  • Any sub-contractors, agents or service providers of LDM Global;
  • Courts or tribunals;
  • Law enforcement agencies where considered necessary for LDM Global to fulfil legal obligations applicable to it;
  • Regulators or other governmental or supervisory bodies with a legal right to the material or a legitimate interest in any material;
  • Any registrar of a public register where the data is to be included in a public registry;

We may contract with third parties to supply services to you on Our behalf. These may include marketing activities, e-discovery services, IT managed services and other back office support to LDM Global operations. In some cases, the third parties may require access to some or all of your data. Where any of your data is required for such a purpose, we will take all reasonable steps to ensure that your data will be handled safely, securely, and in accordance with your rights, Our obligations, and the obligations of the third party under the law.

This may include only transferring the data where we are satisfied that:

  • the non-European Union country has Data Protection laws similar to the laws in the European Union;
  • the recipient has agreed through contract to protect the information in the same Data Protection standards as the European Union;
  • we have obtained consent from relevant data subjects to the transfer; or
  • if transferred to the United States of America, the transfer will be to organizations that are part of the Privacy Shield.

Under United Kingdom law, we are required to keep your documents, contracts etc. minimum for the length of the contact or agreement and maximum six years afterward as per the Data Retention Schedule; according to the Data Retention Policy of LDM Global. After this period, your personal data will be irreversibly destroyed. Any personal data held by us for marketing and service update notifications will be kept by us until such time that you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
